YeahYeahPonyPrince is a collaboration between two artists, Jodi Mullen and Oscar Bevilacqua.
Their art is the process of hand-painted linoleum block prints on a line of sustainable clothing, including fibers made out of recycled plastic bottles and organic cotton.
The art is influenced by Ukiyo-e, a traditional Japanese woodblock printing form combined with oil and acrylic painting techniques. This method merged with textile and clothing design results in a new tradition approach.
Jodi Mullen is a naturally inclined artist from a very young age. She received her BA from Rutgers University in NJ with a focus in Oil Painting. Her artistic influences are vast and have ranged from Pablo Picasso, Georgia O’Keeffe, Katsushika Hokusai, Vincent Van Gogh, Andy Warhol to African primitive art. Her creativity and utter abandonment into her art are a testament of her passion.
Oscar Bevilacqua is a self-taught painter and percussionist originally from Argentina. He studied drums and percussion for 10 years in New York and San Francisco. He also has a bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing from Sonoma State University, and he is currently earning his MBA in Finance from Sacramento State University.
