Lee Vining Summer Arts Camps: Theater with Maurice
Where the youthful perform in the beauty of nature. Students will learn and experience the following: improvisational games, utilize their skills for critical and creative thought while performing on stage, learn to take and follow directions during rehearsal, and most importantly, have fun! And on the final day, the students will use everything that they learned and perform live for their family and friends.

This year’s camp is hosted by Maurice Cooper, who has 12 years of on-stage acting experience under his belt. Some of his credits include: El Gallo in The Fantasticks, Macduff in William Shakespeare’s Macbeth, and Art Dog as the title’s character.
His goal is to introduce and reintroduce the performing arts to the youth, while creating a fun and safe environment for both student and host. The Summer Camp will take place at the County Park in Lee Vining.
During the camp’s run, students will learn and experience the following:
- Play improvisational games while establishing trust and teamwork among their peers.
- Utilize their skills for critical and creative think while performing on stage.
- Learn to take and follow directions during rehearsal.
-And most importantly, have fun!
On the final day of the camp, the students will use everything that they learned and perform live for their family and friends.

July 26-30: Ages 5-7 10-11am, Ages 8-11 12-2pm, Ages 12 & up 3-5pm

Friends of the Arts - $150
Friends of the Arts is our donor level for all patron and arts supporters. We need 250 Friends of the Arts for our after school programs, community outreach, and gallery maintenance.
Patrons - $500
Our Patrons donor level helps provide foundational funding for our student Scholarship program and our Summer Art Camp. We need 25 Patrons.
Dreammakers - $2,500 to $5,000
The Dreammakers donor level will help launch our Music Program and provide continued support for our new Digital Arts program. $50,000 annually.
