Artists' reception
Friday September 9th, 5:30-7:30pm
We are proud to announce the Opening and Artists' Reception for two new exciting and thought provoking exhibits: WATER: Every Drop Counts & THE LOOKING GLASS: Art by Susi Bains.
The Reception is Friday September 9th, 5:30-7:30pm at the MAC Gallery and Community Arts Center, in the Minaret Shopping Center (by Vons). Come enjoy snacks and a glass of wine and meet the artists!
Our latest Seasonal Show WATER: Every Drop Counts, Artists were asked to create and submit 2D, 3D or mixed media works of art that explored the importance and beauty of water in all its forms. Under the context of EVERY DROP COUNTS, Artists were encouraged to think about water in a meaningful way that expresses the value of water, its life giving properties, and how the lack of water has impacted our communities.
An ever-broadening awareness of water issues, especially locally in Mono County where much of our mountain water is diverted to LA, viewers are often left to ponder “What does water mean to me?”
The WATER exhibit features work by local Eastern Sierra Artists as well as Artists from around the country. Works include photography, oil & water color as well as stained glass & mixed media.
These two MAC Exhibits open on Labor Day Weekend with the Reception taking place the following Friday September 9th. The MAC Gallery & Community Arts Center is open every day from 12pm -6pm.
