MAC arts programs go beyond the school year! We have a wide variety of hands-on arts camps during the summer. MAC will offer a variety of arts experiences, including Photography, Mixed Media/Media Arts, Theater, & Music camps for children ages 5-17.

Free for all Mono County children. $50-75 for non-resident campers.

Have fun in the beautiful Mono Basin while learning about our local ecosystems and wildlife with Rose. Examine the relationship between nature and art with Daria and create a beautiful piece of art.

Lee Vining Summer Arts Camps: Theater with Maurice

Where the youthful perform in the beauty of nature. Students will learn and experience the following: improvisational games, utilize their skills for critical and creative thought while performing on stage, learn to take and follow directions during rehearsal, and most importantly, have fun! And on the final day, the students will use everything that they learned and perform live for their family and friends.

Mammoth Summer Arts Camps: Music with Samba Da

Participants will learn how to play instruments and dance movements with members from the Afro-Samba-Funk-Dance Music group Samba Da! Ibou will be sharing both drumming and dance from Senegal. Papiba will be teaching students the basics of capoeira in a fun and playful way that involves games, animal names, singing and music as well as sharing the rich history of capoeira’s origins. Dandha will be teaching students the beautiful afro-Brazilian dance movements that have deep roots in her hometown.

Participants will explore the scenic views of local destinations of the Hayden Cabin in Mammoth Lakes. Students will have fun experimenting with a variety of hands on, experiential activities while learning about digital photography, composition, lighting, landscape, and more amidst a world class destination of the Eastern Sierra.

A visual arts and movement program for all those in search of developing their creative process. Explore your creativity, learn more about your backyard, and make art with us. We will experiment with unusual techniques to create paintings about local land. We will tell stories about magic events happening in Eastern Sierra with our artworks.
