MAC is OPEN! Regional Stay At Home Order

Greetings, friends. We have been getting a lot of questions lately and we want to clarify exactly what we're doing here at Mono Arts Council through the current Regional Stay at Home Order.

The Gallery & Art Center is staying OPEN! We have a fairly large space, and we are able to keep our capacity well under the 20% threshold for shopping. Every person who comes in is still required to wear a mask, and now we have implemented contactless temperature checks at the door. We have hand sanitizer throughout the gallery and it is very easy to maintain social distancing while looking at all our amazing art. We are being diligent with every choice we make when it comes to your safety, and ours. As a result, we have decided to postpone all in-person classes and open-studio sessions for the time being. We WILL have more classes soon! We'll have at least one Zoom class in January, and will notify you when a new class is scheduled.

We are incredibly grateful to have the ability to keep our doors open. Like all of our local small businesses, the MAC Gallery will be VERY impacted by the lack of tourism, the lack of foot traffic and the growing concern of rising COVID cases in the area. We ARE relying on your support of Small and Local Business during December. If you're able to shop small, and want to support a non-profit, small business, and local artists alike, then please consider donating to MAC or shopping on our website and in our store.

The Gallery hours are remaining as 12pm-5pm, Friday-Monday, for now. We are also opening up appointment times for private shopping - anytime between 9am-12pm, and 5pm-7pm, Friday - Monday. We want to respect those who may want/need the shopping time outside of store hours, especially for the immunocompromised and elderly, and we are here to help. You can email Dani directly at dani@monoarts.org, or call (206/605-4771) to arrange a time for your own personal shopping experience. We are also adding more art to our online store daily! Our website, monoarts.org has bunches of amazing arts and crafts for sale. We will ship anywhere in the lower 48. And if you're looking to buy something for a friend or family member who lives elsewhere, we can absolutely wrap up your gift Holiday-Style before we ship it out!

We encourage you to shop at as many small businesses as you can this month. We are all looking for gifts for loved ones, and for us here at MAC, the best gift you can give this Holiday season is seeing the Small Businesses and Local Arts survive and thrive in our community. Thank you for sending encouragement and kind words, and we look forward to seeing you!!
