As we all know, Mammoth is incredible in the summer! And MAC's Art & Nature camps aim to take full advantage of the long days, gorgeous weather, and world famous scenery that we find ourselves lucky enough to live and play in! This month, we talked to one of our campers, Sierra (age 8), all about it. Read on to hear her thoughts - she echoes a lot of the things that we believe in here at MAC, and we're so glad she joined us this summer!

Why do you love art?
I love art because it helps me calm down.
Do you have a favorite piece of art you have created?
My favorite piece that I made is a drawing of a mountain while I was backpacking on Mt. Whitney!
What would you say to a friend to get them interested in art?
I would say it's good to help you save memories.
Do you think art is important? Why?
Yes! So, if you forget memories - you can draw a picture of it, and then you won't forget it because then you can always look back on it!
What do you love to create the most?
I love to make Tiger lilies - I make them out of paper sometimes, and I draw them.
Is there anything else we should know?
My mom does art, and so I also do art.
