MAC September Student Spotlight: Shaylee
The days are cooler, the leaves are redder, and the air is crisp and perfect in Mono County in September. There's even a little snow already! This month, now that we're back in the swing of things, we had a chance to sit down with 2nd grader Shaylee. She - much like the artists who are here this week for Paint Mono County- loves to paint the natural scenery all around us here. Keep reading to learn more!
Why do you love art?
I love art because it's fun, and you can do whatever you want with it.
What is a favorite piece of art you have created?
I just like basing it off of my grandma's backyard because she has a really beautiful backyard.
What would you say to a friend to get them interested in art?
Just do your best. It doesn't have to be a picture of anything. You can just bend it into stuff and draw what you want!
Do you think art is important? Why?
Yes. Because... if there's no art in the world, nothing would be anything because everything is made out of art.
What do you love to create the most?
Paintings and I like... bending stuff.
(Shaylee might be referring to bending a lot
due to that same Create with the Greats lesson
on the sculptor Louise Bourgeois, where the students got to bend wire
to create their own sculptures - which we love, of course!)
A p999 game download should not be approached as simply finding the first available file. I think checking the source, confirming compatibility, and avoiding unknown software are worthwhile precautions whenever an application is being installed on a personal device.
