On a recent visit to Benton, we got the chance to sit down and chat with some students as they practiced their songs and movements for their upcoming Winter Concert! Imagine our delight when we asked first grader Teddy what his favorite part of school, is, and he replied (unprompted!) "Art!" See what else Teddy has to say about his favorite scubject below...

Art!

Drawing
Why do you love art?
Because I can make and draw whatever I want. And if we do it at school, we get to keep it at home
Do you have art up on your walls at home?
My mom and I have art up on our walls at home. Every day my mom draws me a picture in my lunch!
What would you say to a friend to get them interested in art?
At home they can make whatever they want. Because in school you can’t do whatever you want, but in art you can.
How does doing art make you feel?
Happy
What’s your favorite color?
Green, but I love rainbows - so basically every color but mostly green.
