This month, we are pleased to feature Hailee, a first grader at LVES, for our Student Spotlight! Our Teaching Artist and Visual Arts Program Coordinator, Kristi, interviewed her about her experience with MAC. Here's what she had to say:
Why do you love the arts?
Cuz it’s like very like very like cool! I like art cuz it’s my favorite project in the world. And I’ve been drawing since I was four.
What is a favorite piece of art you have created or a favorite time in performing arts?
My favorite piece of art is this one right here (Basquiat).
What would you say to a friend to get them interested in the arts?
I would say I made this art! By my painting! I would do art when I grow up.
Why are the arts so important right now, in the world we live in?
Cuz art is important to get people to like it.
