See You At The Jubilee- Janet Hunt Migrates from the MAC to JLLOOPPAA

If you have been to the June Lake Jam Fest, then you know who Janet Hunt is. Janet has served on the Mono Arts Council board twice, but her most recent stint is what landed her on the map. Janet rejoined the MAC board in 2014 to present her concept of a music festival to raise money for a school music program, the June Lake Jam Fest. What started as a small one-day event has grown into a full-scale 3-day music festival, complete with a professional stage, sound engineers, world-class performers, food, and vendors, and with an extension event in the winter, the Winter Jam.

Janet has planned and run this event for the past 6 years, all as a volunteer. Her passion and love for both the festival and the desire to bring a music program to the students of the Eastern Sierra Unified School District are very apparent in everything she does. In addition to her vast amount of time spent working on the Jam Fest, Janet served on the board as Treasurer for the past 3 years and was a very committed and involved board member during her entire term.

We really could spend a week talking about Janet's many contributions to MAC. We will miss her greatly, but we will all "see her at the Jubilee" once the June Lake Jam Fest resumes under its new home, the June Lake Loop Performing Arts Association. Please join us in saying, 'THANK YOU, JANET!'
